Atopic Dermatitis

Definition and Causes

Atopic dermatitis occurs when toxins and waste that should be expelled through the skin accumulate in the body, causing an overactive immune response. This leads to increased body heat, elevated skin temperature, and inflammation, while also compromising the skin's ability to regulate moisture and making it more vulnerable to environmental factors.

Symptoms

  1. Itching

Itching is one of the most difficult symptoms for most atopic dermatitis patients.

  2. Redness, Swelling, and Flushing

Indicates inflammation and heat accumulation in the skin.

  3. Oozing
  4. Scaling: Increases with dryness and scratching.
  5. Hyperpigmentation
  6. Lichenification

Thickening of the skin with a rough texture, often seen in chronic atopic dermatitis cases.

Eczema

Definition and Symptoms

Eczema is characterized by edema between epithelial cells, leading to the stretching and rupture of adhesive structures between cells, which results in blister formation and a superficial inflammatory skin response. Symptoms include itching, redness, scaling, and papular blisters.

In the acute phase, the affected skin appears red with small, uneven blisters. In chronic eczema, blisters disappear, the skin becomes thick and uneven with a rough surface, and severe itching persists.

Types of Eczema

Household Eczema

This type occurs on the hands or fingers of people who frequently use water, such as homemakers. The palms or inner fingers become red, and the skin thickens, leading to peeling or cracking.

Irritant Contact Dermatitis

This accounts for over 80% of dermatitis cases in factory workplaces and includes conditions caused by soaps, detergents, moisture, or friction.
Symptoms include itching, redness, scaling, and cracking.

Allergic Contact Dermatitis

This type occurs in areas that come into contact with items such as necklaces, watch bands, jeans buttons, or bra fasteners.

Nummular Eczema

More common in older adults with dry skin, this type of eczema occurs more frequently in men than women.
Scratching can spread the condition throughout the body, so it is important to avoid scratching.

Dry Eczema

Characterized by dry scaling and fine skin cracks, it is most commonly seen in winter. Poor bathing habits can contribute to the onset and worsening of this condition.

Dyshidrotic Eczema

Forms small blisters on the palms or soles of the feet, accompanied by itching, and tends to be chronic with frequent recurrences. It commonly occurs during puberty, in spring, and summer.
Severe cases can lead to nail deformities.

Treatment Areas

Urticaria (Hives)

Causes and Symptoms

The human body constantly faces external attacks, prompting the immune system to act in defense, maintaining life functions by eliminating or blocking these threats.

However, sometimes the body can react excessively to certain stimuli, resulting in swelling, itching, and expansion of the skin. This reaction is known as urticaria or hives.

Urticaria Treatment

Normalizing immune system activity is fundamental to treating urticaria. At AIBI Clinic, we use specialized herbal ointments, medications, and acupuncture treatments to achieve rapid and effective results.

Treatment Areas

Allergic Dermatitis

Causes

The skin has a strong function to expel heat and impurities (waste, sebum, salts, carbon dioxide, etc.) through sweat. When the skin's normal function is impaired, these substances can accumulate, leading to pathological symptoms on the skin surface.

Allergic Dermatitis Treatment

Our goal is to normalize immune system activity. At AIBI Clinic, we use specialized herbal ointments, medications, and acupuncture treatments to provide the most effective results in the shortest time possible.
